Art review Jerry and Pavlica
In this video I quickly give some tips/feedback on two paintings, from Jerry and Pavlica. They had posted their work in the chat section and asked for feedback. I made a video because that's easier than typing and another benefit is that other Patrons maybe also like to see these paintings and some tips. Thanks Jerry and Pavlica, very kind that you allowed me to use your paintings👍
Painting from global to specific in layers with acrylics (01:08:57)
One of the ways to build a painting is to start with global color planes and adding more detail in new layers. With this method it's easier in the final stages to choose where you want to add more detail and where you want to keep it more loose. A downside is, that your painting doesn't make sense for a long time and it's easy to lose confidence. A lot of people stop painting in the ugly stage, but it's actually the stage where there's very little effort needed to turn your painting into something beautiful. Learning to paint in layers means accepting the ugly stage. In this video I want to show you the crucial moments and hopefully I can show you that it's just a matter of keeping the faith and continue painting.
Vlog: sightseeing on my way to the studio, behind the scenes etc. (00:55:02
This is not a tutorial, more of a personal behind-the-scenes kind of video. I made it half a year ago and never thought it was worth posting. Now I decided to post it anyway. Maybe there are some interesting bits for people from other parts of the world, and maybe not!
I can’t draw from imagination, but here’s how I fix that! (00:12:11)

Finding back motivation by sketching
Feeling tired, uninspired, or creatively stuck? In this video I share how I rediscover motivation by quietly sketching ordinary things around me. Just a pencil, some paper, and no pressure. Sometimes, the simplest things bring us back.
Short vlog: palette organization (00:06:23)
I just thought it would be fun to share some thoughts/ideas on palette organization, which in my case is sort of non-existent😁 Do you organize your palette the same way every time you paint?
